My six years coordinating the Giggles Playgroups have inspired us to create this website. During those years, I have prepared specific documents and resources which we are eager to share (these resources are available for FREE download for Planet Preschool members!)

The key purpose at Giggles Playgroup is to provide an environment where families can find support and build friendships. We encourage adult-child interaction in an environment away from household distractions and the general business of our fast-paced lives.

Our playgroup sessions have a very casual atmosphere with little structure, just enough to help prepare children for pre-school or kindergarten. Each term we have a general theme and each week we have a craft activity that is linked to the theme. We set up a messy play activity each week and always have the children's favourite play dough available. The activity stations are set up for the whole morning so the children are free to choose. The children all sit down together for snack time and also for a short group time for songs and, sometimes, a story (usually at the end of the session).
